The Volta Regional NDC MPs Caucus have donated assorted foods items to the Muslims in Zango community at the Hohoe municipality in the Volta Region.
Items donated included 50bags of 50kg Rice and 12 cartons of cooking oil. In addition, the former Hon. Member of Parliament for the Hohoe Constituency, Bernice Adiku Heloo also donated 40 packs of soft drinks to aid the celebration of the Eid-ul-Fitr of their Muslim brothers and sisters.
Prior to the donation, the items were officially announced at the Hohoe Zango Chiefs’ palace where some of the donations went on.
The Hon representative of the Volta NDC MPs’ Caucus, Dela Sowah in her statement wished all the Muslims St large Eid MUBARAK and a successful celebration of Eid-ul-Fitr.
The items were received by the Hohoe NDC Constituency Zango Caucus Coordinator, the two Zango ward coordinators and some branch executives on behalf of their Muslim brethren.
The event was witnessed by the NDC Volta Regional Chairman, Henry Ametefe, the Regional Organiser, Shiki Abibu, Hon. MP for the Kpando Constituency who represented Volta NDC MPs’ Caucus, Dela Sowah and former Hon MP for Hohoe, Bernice Adiku Heloo.
Others present were Hohoe Constituency Chairman, George Bright Anni Bansah and other Constituency executives.
On behalf of the NDC party in the Hohoe Constituency, the Chairman, George Bright Anni Bansah expressed gratefulness for the donation.
He indicated the donation would help increase their moral of the Zango brethren as they mark their Eid-ul-Fitr in this hard times created by the clueless leadership of President Akuffo-Addo.
