Even though Haruna Iddrisu appears to have acted in the interest of the party in the infamous Parliamentary gaffe, he has rather remained sober and very reserved in the face of the “attacks on NDC MPs” by the grassroots.
This position taken by Hon Haruna to reject all the NPP Nominees has been corrobated by many NDC Parliamentarians.
“Hon Haruna was the one who demonstrated leadership and insisted on a total rejection of all of the nominees since we do not recognize the presidency of Akufo Addo”. Such was posited by one NDC MP.
It is interesting to note that, Mr. Muntaka, who has not had the benefit of vindication in this matter, has rather arrogated to himself the duty to fight the grassroots for expressing their anger on the “Parliamentary gaffe”. He called Sammy Gyamfi “arrogant and disrespectful” and threatened to meet Mugabe Maase in court for taking a swipe at them (MPs). Could that be a reaction of a Guilty Conscious? Please, Hon. Muntaka, take it easy! and come again.
I am of the view that, Hon Haruna is the one who has the moral authority to speak against the so called insults because he is the innocent one as far as the betrayal of NDC grassroots is concerned.
The feat chalked by Muntaka in Parliament House on the 7th January this year is fast being eroded by himself. A clear case of “using ones own hand to pulled down his own glasshouse”.
Obviously, it has now been established clearly that in spite of his Parliamentary experience, Hon. Muntaka, the NDC Caucus Chief Whip has a lot more to learn from Haruna Iddrisu, the now NDC Caucus Leader in Parliament.
Please, Mr. Muntaka, I wish to advise that you simmer down and try not to allow the praises you received after 7th January get into your head, lest you lose it all.
