The last time I wrote a piece, I was so emotional. I saw the energy and resilience in a people who wanted to elect a speaker, against all odds . Indeed ” I SHED TEARS WHEN BAGBIN WON ” . … and that was what I wrote about.
I shed tears because there was another group of people who also wanted to elect a speaker, they had the courts on their side to injunct and to overturn injunctions. They had an invisible and delta forces who were ordered to shoot and kill innocent people who had voted and were protecting their votes. They also had the military who entered parliament with a mindset of intimidating our members of parliament.
All these failed because the other side proved more determined and worked to script !!!
Our MPs went home to a rousing welcome because they had done what napoleon could not do. They went to war, with our support and delivered.
……. are these our heroes (MPs) some are doubting today?
…… are these the heroines (MPs)some are accusing today?
I know it hurts 💔 so badly, but let me remind my members of parliament that most times , silence remains golden. Let others speak for you lest you break the hearts 💕 of many of your admirers.
The elections is not over yet, there are many things ahead of us that we must rally around to execute. There are lots of silent people out there on their knees on daily basis offering nothing but fervent prayers for you. Let’s put this behind us and go for the kill. We trust you and know you have the NDC and Ghana at heart .
Lets not give up comrades, there are still better days ahead.
