National Democratic Congress (NDC) has called on the citizenry to police the ballot boxes across the country to the end of the coalition.
The NDC Director of Elections, Hon Elvis Afriyie Ankrah gave the directive following an intecepted communique from the Police Hierarchy directing the security personnel on duty at the various voting centres across the country not to follow the ballot boxes to the coalition centres when voting is over.
At an emergency press briefing in Accra, Hon Afriyie Ankrah charged every Ghanaian citizen to rise against any illegality to prevent any anarchy after the voting or elections.
According to him, NDC has recorded illegality in some constituencies including Suhum, in the Eastern Region where machomen with weapons deployed to a hotel by the ruling New Patriotic Party, NPP, and when they were arrested, the DCE for the area went to get them with the weapons.

Also, around the Circle Inter-change a young lady was arrested busily stocking ballots with thumprinted ballot papers for Nana Addo with the EC stump on the paper.
In a related development, The Hon Deputy Minister of the Interior, Henry Quartey who is also contesting as parliamentary candidate at the Ayawaso Central Constituency insisted that one of the polling stations should be on his premises near Top fm Radio, Accra Newtown.
According to NDC, all efforts by their agents to bring the whole thing outside prove futile.
