Corruption, tribalism and nepotism defeated Martin Alamisi Amidu.
President Nana Akuffo Addo forced Martin Amidu to resign for exposing him and family in the AGYAPA dirty deals and other sticking deals he was not allowed to investigate.
The Special Prosecutor, Martin Amidu has resigned from his position.
In a letter addressed to President Nana Akufo-Addo, Martin Amidu said his decision is to “enable Your Excellency to take steps to appoint a replacement to that position as required by law.
He suggested that President Akufo-Addo has not been able to ensure his independence and freedom of action.
“The one condition upon which I accepted to be nominated as the Special Prosecutor when you invited me to your Office on 10th January 2018 was your firm promise to me that you will respect and ensure same by your Government for my independence and freedom of action as a Special Prosecutor,” he stated.
One of the things that triggered for his resignation and the decision to make it public, the former Attorney General said he has had a “traumatic experience” between 20th October 2020 and 2nd November 2020 after releasing his 15-page corruption risk assessment on Agyapa Royalties Limited Transactions.
He said he believed that he was executing his mandate independently, the reactions he has received concerning the work makes him convinced that he was not expected to exercise his independence as a Special Prosecutor.
If you want to know why the NPP governments is so corrupt then don’t look far. My fellow youth, it is time to save mother Ghana. Just try to sing the youth anthem and you will surely agree with me that the NPP does not deserve another four years in power. They are looting, grabbing, chopping and stealing everywhere.
The reason why this is happening is simply because the president appointed family members to key governments positions and as a result the state institutions can not prosecute them when they’re involved in corruption.
Look at the Auditor General who was fighting the Senior Minister to get our money, he embezzled on the Crow. Associate Contract was asked by the President to proceed on leave. The Special Prosecutor who did a diligent work on the Agyakpa Royalties Scam and inducted the Finance Minister was threatened and he has to resign.
So if you are someone that love Ghana then you have to begin to think of how to rescue the country in 20days time. Like I said in my earlier post this is not the time for the usual NPP and NDC Politics but the time to liberate our country from State Capture. What I called the Second Independence of our dear nation.
NPP never again, this country is at the verge of collapsing.
The cowardice of the so call neutrals and institutions who are to put governments in checks is now very scared.
We must rescue this nation of ours.
Think twice, think Ghana.
