THE AGAVE Rural Bank (ARB PLC) has stepped in to support the completion of the Dzebetato Community-Based Health Planning and Services (CHPS) Compound by fully paying for the roofing at a cost of GH¢36,800.
The support follows an appeal made by the Assembly Member for the area, Hon. Peter Newton Doe.

The community-led project, which started in 2019, has struggled to progress due to limited resources. It has so far relied on contributions from residents, support from the diaspora, and assistance from NGOs.
When completed, the facility will have a maternity unit, dispensary, consulting rooms, detention rooms, and storage areas.
The Dzebetato Planning Committee says the CHPS Compound is crucial for bringing essential healthcare closer to the people, especially children, pregnant women, and nursing mothers. They described the initiative as an example of the community taking action to improve its own health system.

Hon. Peter Newton Doe thanked Agave Rural Bank for its corporate social responsibility and commitment to community development. He again appealed to the government, NGOs, philanthropists, and well-meaning individuals to help finish the project.
“On behalf of the entire community, we are appealing for support in cash or kind to help complete the CHPS Compound at Dzebetato,” he said.
He also encouraged residents, citizens abroad, and supporters to contribute through the Mobile Money number 0243 918 158, registered in his name, Peter Newton.

Once completed, the CHPS Compound is expected to provide essential healthcare services such as maternal and child health, disease prevention, emergency care, general consultations, health education, and outreach programmes for surrounding communities.
