THE YOUTH of Salaga hit the streets in a peaceful protest to draw attention to ongoing problems in the East Gonja Municipality.

The #SalagaDeservesBetter demonstration highlighted key concerns including unstable electricity, abandoned hospital projects (like the 60-bed Euroget Hospital), bad roads, and water shortages.

At the end of the protest, the youth presented a petition to the East Gonja Municipal Assembly. The Municipal Coordinating Director, who received it on behalf of the MCE and MP, assured them of their commitment to addressing the issues.

He added that the MP had earlier expressed her support and willingness to work with all stakeholders to find lasting solutions.

Despite the rain and sun, the protest ended peacefully, with participants left for their various homes in high spirits.
