THE CHIEF Executive Officer of the Ghana Free Zones Authority (GFZA), Dr. Mary Awusi, has stressed Ghana’s commitment to strengthening trade and investment ties with Germany.
She made this known during a high-level Business Roundtable organized by the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC) in Accra, as part of the State Visit of German President, H.E. Frank-Walter Steinmeier.

The German delegation, led by Dr. Thomas Steffen, engaged Ghanaian officials on opportunities for collaboration, particularly in areas such as manufacturing, agribusiness, renewable energy, and technology.
Dr. Awusi emphasized the GFZA’s readiness to support strategic investments that drive industrialization, create jobs, and boost Ghana’s export potential.

“The Free Zones Authority is positioning itself as a key driver of Ghana’s industrial transformation, and we welcome partnerships that will bring innovation, capital, and skills into our economy,” she noted.
The meeting reflects growing cooperation between Ghana and Germany, with both countries exploring new trade avenues to support sustainable economic development.

The GFZA plays a vital role in attracting foreign investment through its export-oriented free zones, offering incentives that make Ghana an ideal hub for investors looking to access both African and global markets.
