HAJIA Adizatu Iddrisu, affectionately known as Hajia Boya, has been enskinned as the Dagajia (Women’s Leader) of the Mossi tribe in Ayawaso North Municipality in the Greater Accra Region.
The colourful traditional ceremony was attended by chiefs, community elders, youth groups, and well-wishers from across Accra.

Hajia Boya, who is in her early 40s, is widely known for her humility, charisma, and strong leadership qualities. She brings years of experience in community mobilization, women’s empowerment, and grassroots development.
In an interview with NationalTymes.com, Hajia Boya said she is committed to working hand-in-hand with the Magajia (Queen Mother) and chiefs to ensure unity and progress within the Mossi community. “Our tribe, like many others, faces its own challenges, but with committed leadership and cooperation, we can find lasting solutions,” she said.
She emphasized the importance of peace, dialogue, and cultural pride, especially among the youth. Hajia Boya also called on women to take up active roles in community development and governance, stating that development cannot thrive without their contribution and peaceful coexistence.

Her installation marks a significant step in promoting inclusive traditional leadership and preserving the rich heritage of the Mossi people in the municipality.
