THE CHIEF Executive Officer of the Ghana Free Zones Authority (GFZA), Dr. Mary Awusi, joined key national stakeholders at the launch of the Ghana Infrastructure Plan (GIP) over week in Accra.
The event, organised by the National Development Planning Commission (NDPC), unveiled a 40-year strategic roadmap to guide Ghana’s infrastructure development.
The GIP focuses on areas such as transport, energy, water, housing, and digital infrastructure, aimed at supporting sustainable national growth and economic transformation.
The launch was graced by H.E. President John Dramani Mahama, who highlighted the need for coordinated efforts, continuity in planning, and stakeholder engagement in achieving the country’s long-term development goals.
Dr. Awusi, representing GFZA, stressed on the Authority’s commitment to promoting infrastructure as a key enabler of trade, investment, and industrial growth—critical components of Ghana’s Vision 2057.
The Ghana Infrastructure Plan is expected to drive inclusive and sustainable development, with agencies like GFZA playing a key role in supporting its implementation.
