HON. ERIC Opoku, Minister for Food and Agriculture and Member of Parliament for Asunafo South, has initiated several development projects aimed at boosting education and community welfare in his constituency.

The projects underscore his commitment to enhancing human capital and creating opportunities for the youth in Asunafo South.
Key projects include the establishment of the Kwapong Midwifery and Nursing Training College, set to expand professional health education access in the Ahafo Region.
Hon. Opoku also cut sod for a 12-unit classroom storey building, a kitchen and dining hall, and a boys’ dormitory to uplift local teaching and learning environments. Additionally, entertainment instruments worth GHC40,000 are being provided to enrich student life.
Other initiatives involve restoring the lighting system at the Kwapong TVET/Vocational School for improved safety and learning conditions. In Norbekaw, construction is slated for a six-unit classroom block and six-room teachers’ quarters, with Adomakokrom also set to benefit from a six-room teachers’ quarters project.

Hon. Eric Opoku stressed these projects reflect his dedication to strengthening educational infrastructure and fostering youth opportunities in Asunafo South.
Community leaders and residents expressed optimism about the lasting positive impact on local education and development.
