IN A major boost to grassroots entrepreneurship, Chief of Staff, Hon. Julius Debrah, has donated GH₵500,000 to support women entrepreneurs under the newly launched Madina Chamber of Commerce.

The support forms part of his Walk With Julius initiative to promote local economic empowerment.
The announcement was made during the launch event by Madina MP, Hon. Francis Xavier Sosu, who praised the gesture as a powerful step toward sustainable livelihoods and financial independence for women.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Debrah encouraged women and young people to start small and believe in their potential, emphasizing that success is not limited to academic qualifications. “Some of the world’s most successful entrepreneurs didn’t complete school. All it takes is belief, courage, and commitment,” he said.
He likened entrepreneurship to planting a seed, adding that with prayer, hard work, and determination, it can grow into something meaningful.
Drawing inspiration from the Bible, Mr. Debrah referenced the story of Moses and his staff, urging the audience to trust in their talents and act boldly—even in small businesses like selling plantain or gari.

He assured attendees that the Madina Chamber of Commerce would serve not just as a business platform but also as a community of support. “I came here with good news. Together, we can build something great,” Mr. Debrah concluded.
The GH₵500,000 seed capital marks a significant investment in women-led businesses and sets a powerful example of community-based development.
