THE SOGAKOPE South Community Clean-Up Campaign has successfully completed its fifth week, making steady progress in clearing overgrown bushes and making roads safer for residents.

The clean-up team began work early in the morning, moving swiftly to clean the area. Their hard work caught the attention of many community members, who showed great support and interest in joining the exercise.
Residents suggested organizing a general clean-up day on a Saturday, when more people would be free to participate. The team welcomed the idea and promised to make it happen soon.
Support for the initiative continues to grow. A group of okada riders not only joined the exercise but also donated GH¢50 to help buy sachet water for the volunteers. Other residents also offered free water to refresh the hardworking team.

Looking ahead, the team plans to meet privately with Hon. Maxwell Kwame Lukutor, MP for South Tongu, and key municipal leaders. They hope to discuss the future of the initiative and request tools like cutlasses, rakes, wheelbarrows, gloves, and protective wear to help speed up the work.
With strong community support and the right equipment, the team is confident that Sogakope South can become a model for cleanliness.

The growing call for Saturday clean-up days shows that more people are ready to step in and help improve their community.
