MINISTER FOR GENDER, CHILDREN AND SOCIAL PROTECTION

THE GHANA School Feeding Programme (GSFP), under the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection, has announced the successful payment of arrears owed to caterers for the second term of the 2024/2025 academic year.

According to a statement from the National Secretariat, caterers have been paid GH¢2.00 per pupil per day, before tax, covering 68 cooking days;  calculated based on the actual days each caterer provided meals to beneficiary pupils.

The payment also marks the final settlement for all disengaged caterers, except for those whose claims are still under review due to pending issues.

GSFP National Coordinator, Hajia Fati Forgor, expressed gratitude to the government for increasing the feeding grant from GH¢1.50 to GH¢2.00 and for releasing funds to ensure the smooth running of the programme.
