GREATER Accra Regional Minister, Hon. Linda Ohenewaa Akweley Ocloo, has extended her warm congratulations to the newly inaugurated members of the Greater Accra Regional Lands Commission.
The Minister described their appointment as a crucial milestone in the quest to restore transparency, efficiency, and accountability in land administration in the region — a sector often criticized for corruption and unfair practices.

She acknowledged the public perception of the Commission as an institution where wealthy individuals often manipulate documentation to seize lands from the less privileged, and where state lands are sold indiscriminately to the politicians and elite.
“The task ahead is both critical and complex,” Hon. Akweley Ocloo said, “but I am confident that your collective expertise, integrity, and commitment will help reposition the Commission.”

She urged the new members to serve as fair stewards of Ghana’s vital land resources by maintaining professionalism, transparency, and fairness in all their dealings.
Hon. Linda Akwele Ocloo also emphasized that their leadership would be key in resolving deep-rooted land issues and advancing sustainable development in the Greater Accra Region.

“I wish you a successful and impactful tenure,” she concluded.
