THE MANAGING Director of SIC Life Insurance Company, Ing. Solomon Twum Barima, Esq., has paid a courtesy call on the Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC), Mr. Simon Madjie, to explore collaborative opportunities that could enhance Ghana’s insurance and investment landscape.

During the meeting, Ing. Barima disclosed SIC Life’s commitment to digitizing its operations to provide real-time claims processing and customer support.

He revealed that the company is developing an integrated system to connect with major institutions such as the Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT), Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA), National Identification Authority (NIA), and the Commissioner of Oaths.

“This digital transformation will help streamline information access and enable faster claims validation, improving trust and efficiency in our service delivery,” Mr. Barima stated.

He also expressed interest in partnering with the GIPC to connect with potential investors, businesses, and families that could benefit from tailored insurance packages, especially in the life and family protection sectors.

In response, Mr. Madjie welcomed the collaboration initiative, stressing on the importance of leveraging strategic partnerships to attract investment and improve public confidence in financial institutions.

He particularly encouraged SIC Life to expand its outreach to include the Ghanaian Diaspora, citing their growing interest in investment and insurance solutions back home.

Both parties agreed to explore ways to support national development through innovation, investment promotion, and inclusive financial services. The meeting concluded with a commitment to deepen engagement between SIC Life and GIPC in the coming months.
