THE PILGRIMS Affairs Office of Ghana (PAOG) has announced that all Ghanaians planning to perform Hajj in 2026 must submit their passports for visa processing by Monday, February 16, 2026.
PAOG says this deadline is final and very important. Anyone who fails to submit their passport by this date will not be able to travel for this year’s Hajj.
The directive applies to all prospective pilgrims who have fully paid for the 2026 Hajj, whether they made payments through agents, directly to the office, or under any special arrangement.

In a statement, the Communications Director of PAOG, Alhaji Mohammed Amin Lamptey Hussein, explained that the deadline was set by the Saudi authorities and must be strictly followed. He said the visa process is on a tight schedule and cannot be delayed.
To help applicants meet the deadline, PAOG is working closely with the Passport Office to assist those who need urgent passport services. The Office has apologized for the short notice and is asking all affected pilgrims to cooperate fully to ensure a smooth visa process.
