GHANA and Jersey are deepening their partnership with plans to sign key agreements that will boost trade, investment, and development between the two sides.
Ghana’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, H.E. Mrs. Sabah Zita Benson, met with Deputy Ian Gorst, Jersey’s Minister for External Relations, in London on November 5, 2025. The meeting was part of ongoing efforts to strengthen cooperation between the two countries.

Discussions focused on finalising two major agreements — one on Double Taxation and the other on Bilateral Investment. They also talked about signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to support cooperation in areas like finance, trade, technology, and skills training.
Other topics included agriculture, trade visits, job exchange programmes, and educational opportunities for girls.

Both parties agreed to complete the agreements during an official visit by Jersey officials to Ghana in early 2026.
This growing partnership is expected to open up new opportunities for both Ghana and Jersey in several sectors and help drive economic and social development.
