
THE GHANA High Commission in London, welcomed His Royal Highness Maponga Joshua Mara-Rah, a respected African thought leader, author, and cultural advocate.
HRH Maponga was accompanied by Her Majesty Mambokadzi Arutura Collier Aluko, King-Woman of the Mutapa and Barwe Kingdoms, along with other distinguished guests.

During a meeting with Mr. Mawutor Alifo, Minister and Head of Chancery, the discussions focused on promoting Pan-African unity, cultural reintegration, and diaspora engagement. Key proposals included:
– Promoting African governance systems and intellectual collaboration
– Developing a Ghana-led diaspora reintegration strategy based on seven pillars, including education, agriculture, health, spirituality, and business
– Creating a continental think-tank and a “diaspora city” in Ghana to attract African expertise from around the world
– Strengthening efforts to reverse brain drain through African-centered development initiatives

Mr. Alifo praised HRH Maponga’s vision and reaffirmed Ghana’s dedication to its Diaspora Engagement Policy, aimed at reconnecting with Africans in the diaspora and promoting cultural unity.
The Commission expressed gratitude to HRH Maponga, Her Majesty Arutura, and their team for their visit and their commitment to building a stronger, united Africa rooted in culture, knowledge, and cooperation.
