THE MINISTRY of Food and Agriculture (MoFA) has released 25,000 bags of fertiliser to support crop production during the ongoing Minor Season across the country.
The fertiliser is being distributed to all 413 schools registered under the Feed Ghana Programme. These schools, which include primary, junior high, and senior high institutions, run school farms aimed at enhancing food and nutrition security.
This intervention is part of MoFA’s efforts to strengthen school-based agriculture and ensure consistent crop yields. The support will help improve farm productivity and contribute to national food supply.
The Deputy Feed Ghana Coordinator responsible for Institutional Farming has been tasked with overseeing the immediate and efficient distribution of the fertiliser to beneficiary schools to allow for timely application.

MoFA reiterated its commitment to supporting agricultural institutions through the Feed Ghana Programme — a key part of the government’s Agriculture for Economic Transformation Agenda (AETA) — by providing inputs and technical support to build a sustainable and resilient food system.
