PHILANTHROPIST and founder of the Farijah Foundation, Hajia Mrs. Farida Ali Jajah, has once again demonstrated her dedication to supporting vulnerable groups in society.
Over the weekend, she organized a donation exercise in the Ayawaso North Constituency, reaching out to over 150 widows and elderly women. Each beneficiary received a bag of rice and GHc 500 cash to help ease their financial burdens.

Hajia Farida Jajah, who is also the wife of the Member of Parliament and Deputy Minister of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, Hon. Yussif Jajah, said the initiative reflects her lifelong passion for supporting the less privileged.
She recalled how she once helped a young lady from the Volta Region to undergo heart surgery at Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, highlighting that her acts of kindness go beyond one-off donations.

Looking ahead, she revealed plans to economically empower the women by providing them with fridges and freezers. This, she said, would help them start small businesses like selling cold water and drinks, giving them a sustainable source of income.
The Farijah Foundation’s latest gesture has been widely praised and is expected to make a meaningful impact in the lives of these women and their families.
