MEMBER of Parliament for Salaga-South, Hon. Hajia Zuwera Mohammed Ibrahimah, has fulfilled her promise to help end the long-standing water crisis at Salaga Senior High School (SASS).
Speaking at the confirmation of the new Municipal Chief Executive in April 2025, she pledged to find a solution to the school’s water challenges — and has now delivered.
Through a partnership with a development-focused NGO, the MP has facilitated the construction of a fully mechanised borehole for SASS.
The project, set to be commissioned soon, will provide safe and reliable water to students and staff, saving valuable study hours previously spent searching for water.
This is part of a wider effort by the MP, who has overseen the construction of 15 boreholes in 2025 alone across Salaga South — most of them mechanised.
Known affectionately as the “Talk and Do Mama,” Hon. Zuwera continues to lead practical solutions that improve lives in her constituency.
