MANAGING Director of the Agricultural Development Bank (ADB) PLC, Edward Ato Sarpong, has praised the government’s Feed Ghana initiative, describing it as a transformative programme that will boost food production, expand agro-industries, and generate jobs across the country.
Speaking in support of the Ministry of Food and Agriculture’s latest flagship policy, Mr. Sarpong said Feed Ghana aligns perfectly with ADB’s mission to drive national development through agribusiness financing.

“This is the kind of initiative that motivates us to go beyond banking and become a true partner in transforming lives and livelihoods,” he said.
He highlighted ADB’s readiness to collaborate with government on several priority projects under Feed Ghana, including Smart Agriculture, Institutional Farming, Poultry, Cocoa, Cotton, Oil Palm, and Vegetable Development.
According to him, ADB is designing tailored financing and technical support packages to help farmers, processors, and agri-SMEs thrive under this initiative.

He added saying, “The programme will not only reduce post-harvest losses but also improve food security, create jobs for youth, and strengthen Ghana’s agricultural value chain.”
The ADB MD reaffirmed the Bank’s commitment to offering smart digital banking and universal financial solutions under its new brand direction, Beyond Banking…, aimed at deepening partnerships and improving customer experience.
