THE HUMAN Resource Management Directorate (HRMD) of the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection has successfully held a two-day orientation workshop for newly posted staff to facilitate their smooth integration into the Ministry’s operations and values.

Held from 12th to 13th June 2025, the training aimed to equip participants with the necessary knowledge and tools to perform effectively in their roles.

Director of HRMD, Madam Vida Owusua Mensah, reiterated the Ministry’s commitment to continuous professional development and urged the new staff to embrace the core values of diligence, respect, and professionalism. She encouraged them to see their roles not just as jobs, but as critical contributions to Ghana’s social development.

The training covered key modules including performance management and target setting, use of the Electronic Staff Performance Appraisal Portal (e-SPAR), sexual harassment prevention, the Affirmative Action Law, gender concepts, human trafficking, and domestic violence.

Participants also received an overview of the Ministry’s structure and mandate, as well as practical insights into the broader goals of public service delivery in the gender and social protection sector.
