THE MUNICIPAL Chief Executive (MCE) for South Tongu, Hon. Victoria Dzeklo, has embarked on a “thank-you” tour across the municipality, marking her second major engagement since taking office.

The tour, which kicked off on April 16, 2025, is aimed at deepening ties with traditional authorities and community stakeholders.
Her first stops included visits to the Agave Traditional Council, Sokpoe Traditional Council and the Sokpoe Women and Children’s Durbar, where she engaged in meaningful discussions with community leaders. Chiefs at the various councils emphasized the importance of sustained collaboration between the MCE’s office and traditional rulers, stressing that effective partnerships must go beyond ceremonial occasions.

In her response, Hon. Dzeklo called for unity and love as the bedrock for lasting peace in South Tongu. She pledged her full cooperation with the chiefs, acknowledging their pivotal role as custodians of the land and promised to work closely with them to drive development initiatives and minimize land disputes.
As part of activities commemorating the Tortsogbeza Festival, Hon. Dzeklo also visited the Sokpoe Women and Children’s Durbar. While commending the initiative, she expressed concern over the low parental attendance and urged greater participation in future programmes to strengthen community welfare and support child development.

Reaffirming her commitment to inclusive governance, Hon. Victoria Dzeklo appealed to all stakeholders – traditional leaders, parents and residents – to come together and collaborate for the progress and prosperity of the South Tongu Municipality.
