
PRESRESIDENT-ELECT John Dramani Mahama has appointed Julius Debrah as Chief of Staff in his incoming administration.
The announcement, made on January 6, 2025, also included other key appointments to the Office of the President.
Julius Debrah, a trusted ally of the President-Elect, will lead the team in coordinating activities within the presidency. Alongside him are the following individuals who have been named to critical roles:
1. Dr. Callistus Mahama – Executive Secretary to the President
2. Prosper Douglas Bani – Head of Interim Security Taskforce
3. Dr. Valerie Sawyer – Senior Presidential Advisor, Governmental Affairs
4. Augustus Goosie Tanoh – Presidential Advisor for 24-hour Economy and Accelerated Export Development
5. Marietta Appiah Brew – Legal Counsel to the President of Ghana
6. Hon. Felix Kwakye Ofosu – Acting Spokesperson to the President.

The appointments will take effect from Tuesday, January 7, 2025. This announcement, signed by Felix Kwakye Ofosu, Special Aide to the President-Elect, reflects Mahama’s determination to build a strong leadership team for his government.
With Julius Debrah at the helm as Chief of Staff, the Mahama administration is set to hit the ground running as preparations for governance take shape.
