FORMER SECURITY Carpo, Kofi Totobi Quakyi, has strongly denied accusations leveled against him by the Hon. Member of Parliament (MP) for Asokwa, Patricia Appiagyei, claiming his involvement in post-election violence.

In a statement issued today, Mr. Totobi Quakyi described the allegations as “categorically false, malicious, and baseless,” expressing disappointment in what he termed as “wayward and irresponsible” comments from a Honorable Member of Parliament.

“It is deeply troubling and disappointing for such reckless accusations to come from a legislator,” he said. “These statements have grave implications for post-election unity and national cohesion.”

The former Security Carpo emphasized his long-standing commitment to Ghana’s peace and stability, citing his decades of public service as evidence of his dedication to national security.

Mr. Totobi Quakyi revealed that the matter has been referred to the Inspector General of Police for investigation. He expressed confidence that appropriate steps would be taken to establish the facts surrounding the claims.

The allegations by Patricia Appiagyei have sparked widespread debate, with many calling for calm and unity in the aftermath of the elections.
