THE CHAIRMAN of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Awutu Senya East Constituency of Central Region, Stephen Ofosu Agyare, has strongly condemned acts of vandalism and the unlawful seizure of state facilities following the declaration of the 2024 presidential and parliamentary election results.
Reports of alleged takeovers and damage to government properties by some NDC supporters have sparked concern. Addressing the media, Mr. Agyare called on party members to exercise restraint and avoid acts that tarnish the party’s image.
“We must not follow the precedent of violence and vandalism seen after the 2016 elections. Our actions should reflect maturity and respect for law and order,” he said.
He warned that the NDC leadership would not shield individuals found engaging in such activities, urging supporters to channel their grievances through proper party structures.

The Constituency Secretary, Michael Oteng Pabi, also added his voice, advising members of the public to report unauthorized individuals attempting to seize government properties to the police.
He emphasized that the party had not sanctioned such actions.
The leadership’s plea comes as part of efforts to maintain peace and ensure that post-election tensions do not escalate further.
