NATIONAL DEMOCRATIC Congress (NDC) Parliamentary Candidate (PC) for South Tongu in the Votla Region, Maxwell Lukutor has been ‘annoying’ the governing elephant (NPP) family in the area.
It appears the branches take it upon themselves to organise party campaign events and are joined by the mother executive members: House-to-house, corner-to-corner etc. campaign was embarked on by the branch at Adutor Electoral Area, which includes; Akutukope, Avuto, Adutor, Sonukpo-Agordo and Bekpo and coupled with a health walk.
The NDC Parliamentary Candidate (PC) Maxwell Lukutor and the constituency executives are always in one community or the other organising the people to tell them why they should vote for the former President John Dramani Mahama as President and Mr. Lukutor as their Member of Parliament (MP).
To this, almost every weekend, the party is either embarking on Health Walk to rally the people to join hands to chase the NPP/Elephant back into the bush. Mr. Lukutor also attends funerals to empathize with the deceased families in the Constituency.
In some cases, the regional NDC executives, especially Egypt Kudjoto, an affable Vice Regional Chairman joins the constituency to carry out their planned programmes.
The people of South Tongu are themselves crying out loud for a rescuer to save them from the excruciating hardship brought on them at most in the last 6 years of the rule of President Akufo-Addo and Vice-President Alhaji Mahamoudu Bawumia.
South Tongu joined the rest of the 274 constituencies in Ghana to call for the former President John Dramani Mahama (JDM/JM) to save the country from this economic shackles.
Dr. Mahamoudu Bawumia (DMB), leader of the country’s Economic Management Team, created this serious economic mess.
Some of the community dwellers who would make time to listen to the NPP, asked why they should vote for a party that brought much hardship on them after so much mouth-watering promises.
The people try to tell the NPP in their faces that they could not relieve them (people) of the sufferings they (NPP) have brought on them through draconian taxes, resulting in the hardship amongst others.
Mr. Lukutor’s campaign activities kept making the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to be at bay, thereby making it extremelly difficult for them to organise people in various communities in the constituency to convince them to vote for Dr. Mahamoudu Bawumia (DMB) in elections 2024.
The Akufo-Addo/Bawumia government deliberately created hardship in the country, sparing no one, and enriching themselves at expense of the poor; meanwhile they’re claiming everything is rosy.
