Klagon Mantse, Nii Bortey Klan I, has fired salvo in response to one Nii Gamu Amui Issah that Klagon lands Belong to the people of Nungua and Tama.
Nii Bortey Klan I, also sounded a warning that anybody carrying himself as the regent of the area should desist from it else the person would face the consequences.
Nii Klan I, pointed out that the people of Klagon know their Chief, so no one could deceive them in anyway.
His comment sought to respond to Nii Gamu Amui Issah, who held a press conference barely a week ago where he claims to be the regent of Klagon.
Nii Gamu Amui Issah claimed he was installed regent of Klagon by the Tema Paramountcy as a village of the Tema Traditional Area, and calls the existing chief a self-styled chief.
The self-styled regent alleged that Nii Bortey Klan l, with some individuals from Nungua are selling wildlife land at Klagon, and Tema Traditional Council expected the government to stop them but could not.
The self-styled regent in his press conference demands for the resolution of the Tema-Nungua boundary issue since he believes the sold wildlife lands belong to the people of Tema.
But Nii Bortey Klan l, stated catigorically that Klagon is a Nungua land. “Nungua people know their chief, and are much aware of the development I have been bringing to the community” he opined.
The Klagon chief explained that there is enough documentary evidence regarding the boundary between Tema and Nungua and to prove that Klagon is part of Nungua Traditional Area.
He however affirmed his resolution to remain focus on his development agenda for Klagon, saying no amount of machination will divert his attention.

Checks from the Chieftaincy Bulletin Volume Two compiled in 2015 by National House of Chiefs confirms Nii Bortey Klan l, as a gazetted chief of Klagon with installation dated, December 5, 2012.
NII Bortey Klan l, built the Klagon police station, a mini market and is now putting up a befitting palace.
