Information reaching National Tymes indicated the ruling New Patriotic Party, NPP led by President Akuffo-Addo is allegedly faking legislation to legalise Okada secretly for votes.

A grapevine information hinted the MTTD of the Ghana Police Service has also been directed to stop harassing the Okada operators all in a quest to deceive them to vote for Nana Addo and NPP come December 7 elections.

NDC John & Jane Manifesto Launch To Legalise ‘Okada Operations’

This cunning move by the NPP became necessary because they have realised if thing is done to get the votes of Okada riders, the NDC led by John and Jane will sweep those votes.

The ‘fake legislation’ to out wit Okada operators for their votes was afterthought when desperate NPP and Nana Addo described the NDC manifesto as Okada manifesto, bogus manifesto and an empty manifesto, and they quickly thought they need to do something because the NDC People’s Manifesto is posing serious danger to their chances.

Desperate Nana Addo led governing NPP was cunningly making enticing statements to woo these Okada riders to divert their voters them (NPP). The NPP condemning John and Jane Manifesto promise to legalise their (Okada) operation in the country.

Boabeng Asamoah, Adantan MP who doubles as the Communications Officer for the NPP, and other NPP Communicators are now making rounds deceiving people that their government is not against Okada operators.

The government and NPP communicators told Ghanaians that it takes only a visionless leader to legalise Okada… Nana Addo himself was reported to have stated that it takes only desperate and clueless leader to legalise Okada operations. Adding he said Okada operation is illegal and it remains illegal in our books.

Okada Riders at Work

National Tymes further gathered from some Okada operators in Accra that they were happy to have heard earlier JM promised to legalise their operations and they also heard it during the NDC manifesto.

To this effect, they have also made up their minds to vote massive for the NDC and John Dramani Mahama to legalise their operations.

According to them, they have noted that the afterthought move by Nana Akuffo-Addo to allow them operate without Police harassment was to lure them to vote for NPP, but nothing could change their alread made minds.
