A non-profit Organization called “Action Movement Youth Volunteers (AMYV) has schooled Fixing the Country Movement Convener, Ernest Kofi Owusu Bempah.
The AMVY expressed wonders to hear Ernest Kofi Owusu Bempeh who works with the Ghana Gas Company as Communications Director in one of the companies established by the previous NDC administration, for anticipating that Former President John Dramani Mahama wants to remain relevant in NDC.
According to AMVY, on 4 May, 2022, Ernest Bempah addressed the media in Accra and stated that, His Excellency John Dramani is trying hard to become relevant to get the endorsement of the NDC ahead of election 2024.
The Organisation’s President, Moses Tettey Dometey described the statement by Mr. Owusu Bempah as “garbage from someone who himself looks like an insult”.
To that effect, AMVY stated in a statement issued in the Eastern Region of Ghana without any ambiguity that “His Excellency former President John Dramani Mahama is a son of the land who speaks on national issues as a former President and a leading member of the National Democratic Congress, NDC when the need be”.
“We have realised that, Fixing the Country Movement is another NPP clueless false propaganda outfit to champion the agendas of the failed Nana Addo and Mahamudu Bawumia led administration”, Mr. Tettey Dometey opined.
He added further that “…..we have again noticed that the outfit is being sponsored by the leading members of the governing New Patrotic Party, NPP just to defend the sitting government in all matters”.
He indicated that they, AMVY want to let Ghanaians to know that that movement is not a pressure group as it has been speculated in the media, but it is a movement to fix themselves and defend the insensitive NPP government.
We want to put on record that if the movement want the country to be fixed, then Ernest Kofi Owusu should look in the eyes of their sponsors, His Excellency President Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo and his cohorts to tell them to cough out the billions of borrowed monies and the COVID-19 funds on top of the taxpayers monies they pocketed rather than this misleading press conference, AMVY President challenged.
“…..To set the record straight, it saddens our hearts when individuals like Ernest Kofi Owusu Bempeh come so low just to defend the mess created in this country by Nana Akufo-Addo, Bawumia government”, he posited.
The President of AMVY further argued that there are so many things Nana Addo/Bawumia led NPP administration have subjected Ghanaians to which are the current trending issues. Ghana is at the crossroads and if nothing is done, everyone is going to further regret it including this sponsored NPP outfit.
We were all in this country when Nana Addo and Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia promised to transform Ghana within eighteen (18) months, reduce borrowing, ensures fiscal discipline, bring down the cost of living, protect the public purse and moved Ghana from taxation to production, reduce unemployment rate, among others.
Six years on in government, worst has been the case, Ghanaians were rather subjected to total hardship, mismanagement of the economy, lacks of humility to accept responsibility, among many other irresponsible actions against Ghanaians, Mr. Tettey Dometey pointed out.
AMVY wants to further inform the general public to note that, “Fixing the Country Movement” is a movement of the ruling NPP to divert the attention of Ghanaians on the hardships are going through because the government has fixed those individuals whilst millions of Ghanaians are suffering.
“We at the AMVY strongly believe that, the political power will soon change hands and Ghanaians will have their liberty”, Moses Tettey Dometey has assured.
