The Rotary Club, Accra-Tesanor Chapter has been fortunate to have the newly elected District Governor, DG of 9102 from Benin for a brief visit to Ghana.
The District Governor, DG, Madam Rufine Lima-Quenum’s election coincided with that of Accra-Tesanor Local Chapter election where one Papa Arkhurst was elected their President.
Accra-Tesanor Rotary Club Chapter is made up of public speaking professionals i.e Speak Masters. The Chapter inducted three (3) new members which increased their number to 30. The three had attended eight (8) straight club meetings and paid their contributions of USD$200 to show commitments.
Rotary is a club of business and professionals who come together to provide humanitarian service projects to the needy communities and individuals who are in difficulties.
Rotary Club is targeting a huge number of members to beef-up their membership derive since the number of Rotarians is dwindling and they needed to sustain their strength.
The DG charged the leadership of the Ghana Branch to work hard to canvass for more Rotarian members to ensure they balloon their number across country.
Lima-Quenum demanded that the Ghana Branch increase the membership of Rotarians from 1200 to 1300 million by 2022. DG urged the leadership to ensure they get more of young people, especially the young women.
She was of the view that with the high number of this young people would help in the delivery of their service projects which must be centred around this young woman as the beneficiaries.
Madam Lima-Quenum Advised them not to relent on their efforts to seek for more new things to improve upon their knowledge areas or vocations. She reminded her colleagues Rotarians of visiting Rotary Club International website for more information that would help them a lot.
Rotary Club District 9102 has four (4) member countries, Ghana; Togo; Benin and Niger.

The Members of Tesanor Chapter presented a present to the District Governor, Madam Rufine Lima-Quenum for her visit immediately after her election.
Papa Arkhurst, President of the Tesanor Rotarians and some Rotarians were given paraphernalia to acknowledged their hard work whilst the newly inducted three members, two males and a female were also presented with plaques for their acceptance to be Rotarians.
