THE leadership of the Ayawaso East Youth Wing has distributed First Aid Kits to beneficiaries of the Youth Employment Agency’s (YEA) Community Medical First Respondent Module to strengthen their ability to respond to health emergencies in their respective communities.

The distribution exercise was led by the NDC Youth Wing leadership, comprising Hajia Mariam Aminu and her deputy, Alhaji Ahmed Abdullai Angar, who also serves as the District Director of the Youth Employment Agency.
A total of 14 beneficiaries received their First Aid Kits during the exercise, while four additional beneficiaries were expected to receive theirs later the same day.
The initiative is aimed at equipping the beneficiaries with essential first-aid supplies to support their duties and enable them to provide timely assistance to people who experience medical emergencies in their communities.

The kits are expected to help the first responders deliver basic first aid while seeking further medical assistance for people whose conditions require professional healthcare.
Speaking during the distribution exercise, Hajia Mariam Aminu commended the beneficiaries for their commitment to the programme and urged them to take their responsibilities seriously.
She encouraged them to remain dedicated to their duties and recognise the importance of their roles in supporting community health and helping to save lives.

The Youth Wing leadership also advised the beneficiaries to keep the kits safe, maintain them properly and use the contents strictly for their intended purpose.
The leadership stressed the importance of responsible use of the supplies to ensure that the beneficiaries can continue to provide the necessary support to people in need within their communities.
The distribution forms part of efforts to support youth-led interventions aimed at improving community health and strengthening local responses to medical emergencies.

The Youth Wing reaffirmed its commitment to supporting initiatives that empower young people to make meaningful contributions to community development, public health and the well-being of residents.
By providing the beneficiaries with essential first-aid supplies, the initiative seeks to strengthen their capacity to respond to emergencies and support efforts to make basic emergency assistance more accessible at the community level.
