THE MUNICIPAL Chief Executive (MCE) for Ayawaso West Wuogon, Hon. Micheal Mensah, together with the Member of Parliament for the area (Ayawaso West Wuogon), John Setor Dumelo, and officials of the Ayawaso West Municipal Assembly, has donated cattle to various mosques within the municipality to support this year’s Eid-ul-Adha celebrations.
The gesture, which took place on Sallah Day (Wednesday, May 27, 2026), formed part of efforts by the Assembly to support the Muslim community and promote peaceful co-existence among residents in the municipality.
Speaking during the presentation, Hon. Micheal Mensah reaffirmed the Assembly’s commitment to strengthening unity, peace, and religious harmony among all groups within Ayawaso West Wuogon.
He noted that Eid-ul-Adha remains an important celebration for Muslims across the world and assured the community of the Assembly’s continuous support during such significant occasions.
The MCE further extended warm Eid Mubarak wishes to all Muslim faithful, praying for peace, blessings, and prosperity for every family during and after the celebration.
Residents and leaders of the beneficiary mosques expressed appreciation to the Assembly and the MP for the kind gesture and support towards the celebration.
