THE AYAWASO East Women’s Organizer, Hajia Rukaiya Adams, affectionately called Mama Ruki, has been praised for her efforts to support and empower women in the constituency.
According to some supporters, she is the first Women’s Organizer in the area to introduce regular training sessions for members of the Women’s Wing. These training programmes are aimed at helping women gain skills and improve their livelihoods.
Hajia Mama Ruki is said to use her own resources to organize these activities. Her goal is to make the Women’s Wing more active and useful to the community.
She has also been described as someone who responds quickly to the needs of people. Reports say she has helped several women by finding job opportunities for their children, especially young men who were unemployed.
Some of these beneficiaries are now working at the Accra International airport and in the aviation sector. In addition, she has sponsored training for 141 people and is currently preparing another session to teach women how to braid hair as a source of income.

Supporters believe her actions show strong leadership and commitment. They say her work has helped reduce some of the burden on local leaders, including the Member of Parliament (MP) and the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE).
To this, many are hoping that the Branch Women Organizers in the constituency retain her in her position so she can continue her work and help more people in the future.
