THE PEOPLE of Kakoshi in the Salaga-South Constituency had one heartfelt request during the election season, a clinic to meet their basic healthcare needs.
For a community long underserved, access to quality health services wasn’t just a desire; it was a pressing need for mothers, children, and families.
This plea came at a time when campaign promises were in full swing, but Kakoshi’s demand stood out for its urgency. Health, after all, is a basic right; and for the people of Kakoshi, it was a long-overdue necessity.
Hon. Hajia Zuwera Mohammed Ibrahimah, Member of Parliament for Salaga-South, listened with care and compassion. She gave them her word: “Trust in me, vote for the NDC, and insha Allah, I will build you a clinic.” It was not just a campaign message, it was a covenant between a leader and her people.
Today, by the grace of Allah, that promise is becoming a reality. The contract for the Kakoshi Clinic has been awarded, and construction has already begun.
The sight of workers and machines on site is more than the start of a project- it is the birth of hope, the dignity of development, and the assurance that the people’s voices have been heard.
For the people of Kakoshi, this is not just about a building. It is about mothers who will no longer have to travel miles in pain, children who will get timely medical care, and families who will finally have health services at their doorstep. It is life made easier, safer, and more dignified.
It is no surprise, then, that Hon. Hajia Zuwera is lovingly called “Talk and Do Mama”- because she does not only speak, she delivers.
Her leadership is one that listens, responds, and acts. She has shown once again that true leadership is about turning promises into progress, and words into works.
Indeed, Kakoshi is not just getting a clinic. Kakoshi is getting a healthier, brighter future- thanks to the trusted, people-centered leadership of Hon. Hajia Zuwera Mohammed Ibrahimah.
