DADABALA Senior High Technical School (DASTECH) in South Tongu Municipality of the Volta Region, has embarked on a week-long celebration of student excellence and unity.
The 4th edition of the Student’s Representative Council (SRC) Week Celebration, themed, “Building Foundations for a Better Future, Promoting Equality, Innovation, and Inclusive Growth,” commenced on May 5 and will run through May 11, 2025.
The event promises to be a spectacular showcase of student talent, creativity, and intellectual prowess. A diverse range of activities has been lined up, including:
– Massive Clean-Up Exercise and Launching Ceremony: The celebration shall kicked off with a massive clean-up exercise, emphasizing the importance of environmental cleanliness and responsibility.

The launching ceremony is expected to feature inspiring remarks from school administrators and student leaders.
– Float and Old School Day: Students will showcase their creativity and flair in a colorful float parade, while Old School Day will provide an opportunity for students to reminisce about the school’s rich history and heritage.
– Career Day: This activity aims to expose students to various career paths and provide insights into the professional world. Industry experts and alumni will share their experiences and offer valuable advice.

– Inter-House Competitions: Students will engage in spirited competitions, including cooking and quiz contests, to demonstrate their skills and teamwork.
– Health Talk and Heritage Day: A health talk will focus on important health issues affecting students, while Heritage Day will celebrate the school’s cultural diversity and heritage.
– Ground Durbar and “Face of DASTECH” Contest: The penultimate day will feature a grand durbar, followed by the highly anticipated “Face of DASTECH” contest, which will showcase students’ charisma and confidence.

– Thanksgiving and Gospel Rock Show: The celebration will culminate in a thanksgiving service and a gospel rock show, featuring live music and student talent.
SRC President’s Invitation:
Master Gabriel Fometsi, SRC President, has extended an invitation to old students, well-wishers, and the broader community to participate in the celebration.
He believes that the event will provide a platform for students to showcase their talents, promote inclusivity, and foster unity.
