FOLLOWING the overwhelming endorsement of the nomination of President John Dramani Mahama, Abdul-Ganiyu Ibrahim by the Ayawaso East Assembly Members, the Greater Accra Regional Minister has sworn him in.

The minister also sworn-in the Hon. Paul Afotey Quaye, for his resounding 100 per cent confirmation by the Krowor (Nungua) Municipal Assembly members.
In her ecstatic mood, Greater Accra Regional Minister, Hon Linda Akwele Ocloo stated that the Ayawaso Assembly Members also have problems amongst themselves, nonetheless, they prioritized the progress of their municipality hence the massive affirmation of the President nominee by 94 per cent.

She made this observation on the back of the disappointment she had from Ayawaso West Wuogon and Ayawaso Central Municipalities.
She cited Ismaila Ali Horoya as one of the 3 shortlisted persons for the MCE position, but he has to rally behind the nominee, Abdul-Ganiyu Ibrahim, aka Mallam Fari for the Assembly members to approve him in the interest of the entire Municipality. “This is what we expect other Assembly members to do for the President”, she posited.

In the resounding endorsement, the confirmation vote saw an impressive turnout, with 16 out of 17 valid votes cast in favour of Abdul-Ganiyu – an overwhelming 94% endorsement.

Hon. Abdul-Ganiyu Ibrahim indicated as part of his vision, tackling sanitation and would also continue from where the previous administration left of the construction of roads networks in the municipality amongst others.

In the case of Krowor (Nungua), the confirmation vote was a massive turnout, with 17 out of 17 valid votes cast in favour of Paul Afotey Quaye, a 40 year old engineer – an overwhelming 100% endorsement.

As part of his vision for local governce, Hon. Paul Afotey Quaye promised to tackle sanitation and roads networks in the municipality amongst others.
In her quest to prepare for the same exercise next week, the Greater Accra Regional Minister, Hon Akwele Ocloo wrapped up her rounds at Ayawaso East Municipal Assembly after she had sworn-in the 100% confirmation Krowor (Nungua) MCE.
She hinted that a number of Municipal and District Assemblies have some level of challenges; hence the need to make time to help resolve them.
