IN A BOLD step to tackle rising crime and bolster security in Krowor, the Member of Parliament for the constituency, Dr. Agnes Naa Momo Lartey, has donated five motorbikes to the Kpeshie Division and Krowor District Commands of the Ghana Police Service.

The donation, made on Saturday, April 5, 2025, is aimed at addressing the persistent transportation challenges faced by the police, which have hindered effective patrols in the area.
Speaking during the presentation ceremony, Hon. Naa Momo Lartey emphasized that the gesture forms part of ongoing efforts to support law enforcement agencies in safeguarding lives and property across the constituency.
“This intervention is a stopgap measure to help improve mobility for our police officers, enabling them to respond swiftly to incidents and conduct regular patrols to deter crime”, (he/she) stated.

Recent months have seen an uptick in criminal activity in the Krowor municipality, prompting calls for better logistical support for the police.
The MP assured constituents of her commitment to collaborating with both the Divisional and District police offices to secure additional vehicles for smoother, more efficient policing.
“Security remains a top priority. We are not only supporting logistics but also planning to construct strategically located police posts in underserved areas to enhance visibility and rapid response”, she added.
The event was graced by members of the Constituency Executive Committee (CEC) and Assembly Members, who lauded the MP’s initiative and pledged continued support for efforts aimed at improving security.
With continued collaboration between the police and the community, Hon. Naa Momo Lartey expressed optimism about building a safer, more secure Krowor for all residents.
